I had a spiritual awakening today at the Los Angeles Zoo. this giraffe literally came within three feet of me and just stared directly into my soul.
I saw the loneliest snow leopard on the face of the planet. My heart shattered as I watched it for twenty minutes.
Audrey came across a crane that was absolutely stunning. We got to talk to the zoo keeper and I really think we made her day as much as she made ours. It was refreshing to experience someone who was so passionate about her work as much as we were.
I cannot even talk about the elephants because I was captivated so much by how majestic they were.
I chose the Maned Wolf to do my observation on. It is actually the most sexual animal in the zoo. It moved through its will. It was prowling and scheming and vicious and scandalous. It was perfect. I don’t know why I’m constantly drawn to amorously ravenous aggression.
